In this tutorial, we will show you how to configure your firewall ports.
Login to your SetupServer.io Account and select the Server from the dashboard for which you want to manage the firewall. After that, click on “Firewall” tab from the right side vertical navigation bar.
How to create a Firewall Rule?
Click on “Create Firewall Rule” to create a new firewall.
Fill following details on the Modal Box:-
First Select the Rule Type, we provide two different options for it:
- Default – If you select the default rule type, you have to just provide following information:-
- Allow/Deny – Specify the action that either you want to Allow that port number or Deny it.
- Port Number – Enter Port Number for which you want to specify above action.
- Custom – If you select Custom Rule type, you have to provide following information:-
- Allow/Deny – Specify the action that either you want to Allow that port number or Deny it.
- Port Number – Enter Port Number for which you want to specify above action.
- Protocol – Enter The protocol associated with the Port Number. Protocol must be either “TCP” or “UDP”
- IP Address (or CIDR) – Enter specific IP Address or CIDR for which you want to allow or deny access.
After filling all the above details, click on “Add Rule” button below it to apply firewall rule to your server.
How to Delete Firewall Rule?
To delete the firewall rule, simply click on “Red Bin” Icon under Delete Column corresponding to that particular rule which you wanted to delete.
